We designed this web site for a community of enthusiasts and collectors. It is built so that the curators can manage their own content, forum and image gallery. We also made them a custom-built, interactive and searchable archive.
The web site design for this project covered an original interface design and complete site architecture. We created the whole site look-and-feel, imagery, photo treatment and community brand design. We also developed the site tone-of-voice and did all the original copywriting.
Our web development teams designed and built the rich content and interactive elements. This included a completely custom, interactive database application, that used Flash to present library archives of product parts and historical schematics.
It was also important to handle the technical side on behalf our non-technical client. So, we selected an Open Source content management system, customised and installed it and delivered user-training. We also liaised with the hosting provider and sorted out the domain registration.
